There is the movie sequel Ghost in the Shell: Innocence, then a reimagined television version of this universe known as Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex that further explores the complexity of prosecuting crime in this future. Hopefully the re-release of this original movie is a chance for new viewers to explore the different versions of Ghost in the Shell that have come out in the 25 years since.
